She was still sat across him, but she was now resting her head on his chest it was calming because she could hear the thumping of his two hearts, a regular rhythm which comforted her. A wet patch began to appear on the Doctor's shirt as Amy's wet hair rested on it too. She felt the Doctor shiver as the water had soaked through to his skin. She sat up again and looked and him

"Sorry, I didn't think about that." Her face was innocent once again,

"It doesn't matter but I'll have to make a stop at the wardrobe, are you coming with me?" the Doctor asked her.

"I shall accompany you" she said smiling, "but first I would like to brush my hair." She climbed off him and the bed and walked back into the bathroom where all the steam had dissipated finally, she stood there looking in the mirror and grabbed the brush and began brushing her hair again. She could see the Doctor watching her, still sat on her bed, his legs crossed and he was twiddling his thumbs once again. She happily skipped from the bathroom back to him and stood at the side of the bed, she then grabbed his hands and pulled him off the bed; he fell of the bed and into a heap losing every ounce of dignity he had.

"Thanks for that Pond." He said a little disgruntled, looking up through his messed up fringe that covered his eyes.

She was laughing and replied "Anytime!" she then carried on; pulling him with her. He clambered to his feet and followed her whilst trying to say

"...but what about our shoes?"

"Doctor, we don't need them, we're only going to the wardrobe!"  She walked confidently in her socks and the Doctor followed her still slightly baffled about the shoes.

They walked down the corridor back towards the wardrobe; his arm was around her shoulders and her arm around his back, resting her hand on his defined hip bone. She looked at him, he was concentrating on where he was going, and she giggled when she saw the expression on his face when he stubbed his toe on one of the metal grates that lined the TARDIS' floors. She leant over and kissed him on the cheek and then put her head against his allowing him to lead her.

They arrived at the wardrobe and he untangled himself from her and began scaling the spiral stairs again; she stood and waited. From the ground floor she could hear the clatter of the Doctor as he tripped over items on the floor between the rails of shirts, she was bored of waiting and thought she'd silently creep up the stairs and find him.  She then climbed the stairs on her tiptoes so that she wouldn't make much noise meaning the Doctor wouldn't hear her. She'd spotted him just beginning to take his shirt off to change into the clean one he had picked out; she walked slowly towards him.

As she reached him her hands slid over his hips and hooked around his naked torso. He jumped when her head came to rest on his shoulder and her still damp hair sprawled over his bare back. She turned her head into his neck and began placing kisses along the column of his throat, a contented sigh left the Doctor's mouth before he could stop it; she looked up at him. She was filled with a sudden confidence, something she'd not felt for a few days, she unhooked her hands and placed them on his hips and turned him round so that he faced her. She pressed her body into his and covered his face with kisses before returning to his lips, she teased him by licking his lips and occasionally nipping at them. She didn't know where this had come from, this was more than the confidence she knew, and her independence had taken over.

He allowed her to explore, but naturally retaliated; he placed his hands on her hips and left them there. He felt the soft material of the camisole rub against his bare skin, it made him shiver, for a moment he'd forgotten about his shirt, which was still hanging for a rack at the side of them.

He thought about what he was going to do, he was cold if anything but her lips were soft and he didn't want to break away but he wanted his second clean shirt of the day. In fact while he was on the subject of shirts what did he do with his soaked one from earlier, he must have miss placed it, but he knew he'd need it back if she pulled another stunt like the last two. He smiled at the thought which made her pull back looking at him puzzled.

"What?"

"Oh nothing, just thinking about the last couple of hours" he replied with a cheesy grin.

"Well there will be more of my laughable antics later if you ever put your shirt back on" she said will a devious smile in return, knowing that it had been her who'd stopped him from redressing in the first place.

"Well do these antics involve water again, I'd rather not waste another perfectly good shirt especially as this is the last one in my size that's still dry and I'd like to keep it that way if you don't mind." He said kissing her nose and then her forehead.

She looked up at him as he lingered on her forehead, she could see that he was a lot more content than he'd been since she'd met him, maybe she had filled a gap in his life, she wasn't to know, not yet anyway. He breathed gently, she could feel it tickling the top of her head, his eyes had shut at this point and he was back in his thinking stage, she didn't do anything but she place her hands flat on his chest which was now very cold. He shivered again, her hands were warm. She moved her head back and his head flopped back down so that he was now gazing at her through his fringe.

"Hello" she said in a small voice "are you okay?"

"Yes, you know me, I'm always okay!" He said clearly lying.

"Doctor... is it me? I have I done something?" she said with worry in her voice.

"No! No Amy, you've done nothing wrong, I'm fine honestly!" He said trying to convince her.

"Doctor, you're a terrible liar." She said with a giggle, "but if you don't want to talk then that's fine." She kissed him again allowing him to explore her face. Her pale skin began to colour, she was blushing, and it was pretty unusual she thought, she didn't get embarrassed that easily. His hair tickled her nose when he kissed her she giggle but kissed him back.

He wondered why Amy had asked him that, he still had a lot of his mind, the consequences of what he was doing and the reason that Amy was going to grow up, he wasn't. It was hard for him to grasp the concept of the "for now" bit. Amy didn't bother about the long term things for now, he knew she didn't want to grow up at the moment; she wanted something more than marriage. The Doctor slowly followed the line of her cheek bone, placing a kiss at certain points; she shivered when he slowly blew out near her ear. He then whispered

"Can I put my shirt on now." with a smirk appearing on his face.

She looked at him and then returned the smirk. He let go of her and grabbed the shirt and began to put it on buttoning it up. He did it slowly just to annoy her, he watched her gaze at him whilst he buttoned them slowly. She walked back towards him while he was finishing buttoning his shirt, she leaned over his hands which were protruding from his chest where he was buttoning the last button, and she kissed his again.

"Garden?" She asked him

"Whatever you'd like to do" he said with a smile.

She grabbed his arm to pull him back toward the stairs to go to the exit, on his way past, he grabbed his bow-tie which he'd taken off whilst removing his wet shirt. They walked down the spiraling staircase at a pace nearly tripping over the step ahead of them sending them tumbling to the bottom, the Doctor grabbed hold of Amy to stop her from falling and then their pace slowed.

They were back in the corridor Amy linked his arm and began to walk toward the garden. While they walked the Doctor sorted his bowtie out making sure that it was straight and neat without strangling himself, it was harder than he thought sorting his bowtie out while walking and having one armed linked. When that predicament had been sorted he was concentrating on the way they were going he then said abruptly

"We're going the wrong way..."

"Are we? I still get lost, why didn't you notice earlier?" Amy asked slightly disgruntled because she thought she'd finally understood the mapping of the TARDIS' corridors.

"Sorry, it's quite hard trying not to strangle myself whilst walking and doing up a bowtie, no matter though, I know a shortcut!" He gave her a grin which wiped her angry face and she smiled back at him.

"Well... let's get going then!" Amy said making it seem rather urgent that they got back to the garden.

"What's the rush? We've got all the time in the world, don't forget..." He unlinked his arms and lifted them above his head "... we're in a time machine." He brought his hands back down and stood behind Amy and placed his hands on her shoulders he then began steering her along the corridors ahead of them. "But the time is up to you" he said quietly into her ear as he looked over her shoulder to see where they were going.

Amy was now completely lost, she was simply allowing the Doctor to guide her and hoped that she'd never have to use this way again. The Doctor hadn't said much, he'd been muttering under his breath like he normally did but not actually talking to her, and she felt a bit lonely while the Doctor talked to someone imaginary at the side of him. To her what he was saying was complete gibberish but certain words stood out to her, things she felt she'd heard before but no idea where or when; maybe in one of her dreams? She didn't know, but she carried on walking.

The once again arrived outside the garden again and he opened the door.  A strong, yet beautiful smell took over her nostrils, the Doctor however, sneezed rather loudly. She tutted and walked through the door, she ran between the flower patches then turned and waited for the Doctor. He slowly walked toward her, stopping to inspect the flowers and then picked one up and handed it to her. She smiled and watched him begin to walk ahead of her; she ran after him and slipped her hand into his which was down by her side. He was still walking and she was slowly pulled along but she caught up with him. She leaned in against him and they walked around another path which they hadn't seen last time.

The sun, which looked exactly like it did in the library, was setting still and basking their faces. The Doctor randomly stuck his free hand into one of his pockets in his tweed jacket and pulled out a pair of retro sunglasses. Amy laughed when he put them on,

"What?" the Doctor said genuinely baffled

"A tweed jacket, a bowtie and retro sunglasses? You never ceased to amaze me, but really you could do with losing the bowtie if you want to look 'cool'." Amy said smirking when she saw his face as she said that he should get rid of the bowtie.

He simply replied "bowties are cool" and carried on walking pulling Amy with him. He didn't remove the glasses even though she'd slightly offended him, she however, had different ideas and took them off his face and then put them on allowing her hair to flow over the front of them.  She was pretty impressed by them and she thought they suited her, she giggled when he looked at her. He then once again placed his hand into his pocket and produced another pair of glasses which he put on.

"Now we're even." He said giving her a grin and walked on again.

They carried on walking, Amy still had the flower in her hand, but she had now started to roll it between her fingers; it was bright red but she had no idea what type of flower it was, she didn't care it was still beautiful and unique. They weaved between the flower beds, the Doctor in his own world and Amy looked at the varieties of flowers they were walking past. She still didn't know where she was going but it was warm and scent coming from the flowers made her daydream. She began thinking about everything that's been happening, she wondered about the library, her bedroom, the fact that he was a 907 year old time travelling alien; she was seven again trusting a strange man believe that it would be 5 minutes until he returned. She still waited; she didn't lose faith or trust in a man she'd known all of an hour and now look at her. She was getting what she'd waited for, danger, adventure and an amazing person to do all of it with, even if he did bite her hand. She could certainly say now that she'd lived life. Her life was now more unique and yet complex than the flower she held. She loved it.
